AEF Photograph Catalog

Catalogue of Official A.E.F. Photographs - 1919

The Catalogue of Official A.E.F. Photographs was created by the U.S. Army Signal Corps as a listing of their photographs taken during World War I. The catalogue includes named individuals, including many of the Signal Corps' female telephone operators.

Entries cite the Signal Corps inventory number. The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has been digitizing the images indexed in the Catalogue, and many are now available online in Record Group 111-SC. The collection is searchable by name, place, and Signal Corps inventory number.

Below is a compilation of operator-related photos, in order of Signal Corps inventory number. To find an individual operator, use the search box located on the right side of this page.
